Colour selection day

Colour selection - 22 March 2017

Finally the big day has come.  Colour selection today plus visit to cabinet maker first up in the morning.  Both Signature Joinery and Chelbrooke Homes are on Gold Coast so early start for us.  Planned well the night before and got everything we need to take with us, such as tile samples, in the car and ready to go.

Left at 7:20 am this morning to make the appointment at 8:30 with Ron at Signature Joinery.  Ron was very patient and helpful.  He pointed out to us that the Wine rack and Kitchen pantry won't work on the plans that we kind forgotten about.  He suggested to change into a bench space plus storage under and above (Bar type area) instead.  He draw a sketcher of the idea straight away so we could understand.  Ron will draw up plans for all the cabinetry work in the house and email to us to review before we finalised them.

We finished with Ron at 9:30am and arrived at Chelbrooke Homes at 10:10am.  Judy, the Interior designer was already waiting for us.  Judi was very professional and helpful as well.  It was a very long process and had to go through every element of the house that involves choice of colour , from outside colour, such as roof, window trimming, wall to colour and style of door; inside the house, including kitchen bench top, cabinets, stairs, door handles etc etc.  We went through quite well except the kitchen and stairs.  They brought us ham and salad bread roll for lunch while we kept on going.  Maria, our laision officer, came to talk to us after we finished with Judi. It was 4:55pm when we finally walked out of the office.

Will post the selections in a separate post.

We met some heavy rain on our way back home and heavy traffic around Springwood.  We didn't get to home until 6:10pm.  What a long day!
